My X220 ThinkPad has finally started getting long in the tooth. Therefore, a replacement is in order. 🙂 After perusing all the latest and greatest laptops of 2016 (XPS 13, XPS 15, ASUS, HP, etc.) I settled on the Lenovo X230 ThinkPad. An incremental upgrade for sure, but one that has left me satisfied and feeling like I am good for another year or two at the least. The price was right and the upgrade-ability of these models is superb.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga is available with a backlit keyboard, here are photos of mine: However, Lenovo makes the “on” button for the keyboard backlight a little hard to find… you have to press the Fn key + the Spacebar key to turn enable/disable the backlight. 🙂 Overall, a very nice machine with a rather cool keyboard! I am getting ready to test the max external display resolution for my ThinkPad Yoga and my wife’s Yoga 2 Pro (the new version of the Yoga 13). Today was the first day I used bluetooth with my Lenovo X220 ThinkPad. The process is simple, but make sure you enable bluetooth by pressing Fn+F5 and change the Bluetooth status to “Radio On”: Once you turn the radio on, Windows 7 will display various prompts. When you pair a device (in my case bluetooth speakers) Windows 7 may install some necessary drivers and then you should be good to go.
