Honeywell WiFi Thermostat Installation Videos [COMPLETE]

Honeywell makes some nice Wi-Fi thermostats, but some of their instructional videos have broken links. This can be quite inconvenient when you need to review the setup process:-( Therefore, I created this page which shows the videos for your convenience: 🙂

I hope these videos are helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Your links are broken, too.

Do you need to run a jumper wire? Some U-Tube videos say just use G as a C and your done. My furnace has Y1 and Y2 hook ups. there are already 2 wires on Y2 and nothing connected to Y1. There is a white wire on the C but it looks like it goes to the Air cond.

Michael, I would not assume you can safely repurpose `G` as `C` just because a video makes it look easy. With Y1 and Y2 and the existing wiring you described, I am not 100% sure your setup matches the simple examples, so I would be careful and verify against the exact Honeywell wiring guide for your system.

I have a white wire from my old thermostat, but no “W” on my new model RTH6500WF Series, now what?

Larry, I can’t say for certain without knowing whether you have a conventional system or a heat pump. If there is no `W` terminal, one possibility is that the same function is labeled differently, so I would match terminals by system type rather than by wire color alone.
