Unknown Device “ACPI ENE0100” download Windows 7 driver (HP)
Question from Charley C.
Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7. I really like the laptop but I have the following annoying unknown device listed in device manager:
ACPI\ENE0100 *ENE0100 Can you help me find the right driver? Many thanks in advance.
Answer. The ACPI\ENE0100 is generally the “ENE CIR Receiver”, you can download the driver here:
Vista: HP download link page or [download id=”10471″ format=”1″]

Follow-up Q. from Charley C.
Thanks a million! That driver worked and now I am all set. One question though… what the heck is a CIR Receiver? And rate 4.5 out of 5 very good rating 🙂 [starreview tpl=16]
Follow-up Answer. Glad the driver worked and solver your problem! CIR stands for “consumer infrared receiver” and I believe ENE is the manufacturer of the chip used in the receiver. Thank you for your rating!
More info:
Driver should also work for HP Pavilion dv1030us and probably the dv61230us.
