Verizon Double Data plan ANSWERS

I had some questions about the Verizon ‘Double Data’ promotion they are currently running. Here is the chat transcript of the questions I asked the Verizon representative. I hope these answers are helpful to you if you have similar questions about their data plan promotion 🙂

Please hold for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience.

You are now chatting with ‘Stephanie R. ‘

Stephanie R. : Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service.  May I help you with your order today?

JD: Hello, I see there is a 22GB data bundle w/hotspot available now. Are there any bigger data bundles available?

JD: (for 4G smartphones)

Stephanie R. : That would be the largest available with the double data promotion.

JD: Humm, are there any other devices/plans that go to 40GB?

Stephanie R. : No, the most we usually offer is 12GB for $100.00 a month, but since we have the double data then it will allow for more.

JD: I see. How come it is 22GB instead of 24GB (12GB x 2)?

Stephanie R. : The 22GB was the highest we were able to go.

JD: Okay, well thanks anyway and have a nice day Stephanie.

Stephanie R. : Would that much data work for you? Over 95% of customers use less then 2GB a month

JD: Unfortunately no, I currently have a Sprint (truly) unlimited plan and have used over 60GB this month

Stephanie R. : I understand.

Stephanie R. : Is there anything else I can help you with today?

JD: I guess I do have one other question. I had an Alltel unlimited datacard when verizon acquired them. I kept the datacard and plan under verizon for many years until a few months back when Verizon seemed to keep the card from connecting in many locales. Is there any way to reactivate/transfer/upgrade a new device to use that plan or a even just a few GB more than 22GB? PS thank you for your assistance

Stephanie R. : I do not have access to do this for you, but you can call customer care at 1-800-922-0204 and see if they are able to make an exception for you.\

JD: Okay, thank you for your help Stephanie! Have a great day 🙂

Stephanie R. : Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless; it’s been a pleasure chatting with you.  Have a great day!
