Pairing Saitek A-250 bluetooth speakers with iPhone/iPod touch

Today I paired my old Saitek wireless speakers with my relatively new iPod touch.  I’d paired the Saitek to a PC before, and the iPod to a different wireless speaker, but this was my first time with iPod + Saitek. Here are two links that were helpful to me, one on iPhone/iPod Touch bluetooth and one on the Saitek (and how to pair). NOTE: these instructions are for the iPhone’s and iPod touch models that have built in bluetooth. Hands

Vector images in the iPhone SDK

I’m interested in using vector images for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch apps. As Apple keeps adding different screen sizes and form factors, scalable vector images would seem to be the way to go (rather than bitmaps that don’t scale well). With vector images, it wouldn’t matter what the resolution of the device’s screen was, the images would scale to whatever was needed. Here are some misc links and info related to vector graphics in the Apple iPhone SDK: Apple iPhone Tech Talk

Here’s a sampling: Homemade Strawberry Shortcake Samantha’s desserts are always to die for, and this one was definitely not an exception! Stuffed Pepper Beginnings I’m not big on stuffed peppers, but these turned out to be AMAZING once Samantha finished with them :-).

My Best Photos

These are some of my favorite photos that I feel have some artistic or technical appeal. These aren’t necessarily my favorite in general, because many of my absolute favs are simple snapshots with family or friends. Rampart (2002) Composition This photo was taken in Puerto Rico on Spring Break.   Normally I struggle with ocean photography or any type of landscape. Architectural elements often elude me as well. This one is different from my normal efforts.  It combines natural landscape and

Weekend Wrapup

The weekend is almost over, where did it go? This weekend was pretty laid back compared to the past few weekends. Two weekends ago we were in Tulsa for a whirlwind business/pleasure trip. Last weekend I spent the entirety of it doing surprise projects for Samantha (self-installing DirecTV and replacing two windows). So this Friday we went to West Plains for some grub and supplies but I ended up striking out on most of the things I was looking for.

Busy and Thankful

Things have been busy around here! Projects left and right, with a trip (thanks Jesse ;-)) coming up to top things off. But it’s a good busy and good projects too. These are worthwhile things that pay dividends in the long run. Despite the busyness, we are making sure to take time out for the little things that mean a lot to us.  This is a very special time for us as we consider the future and treasure the present.
