“you are not signed in” message – Duke Nukem Forever multiplayer

My buddy Kevin and I were trying to play some Duke Nukem Forever the other day and I encountered an error when trying to access the multiplayer portion (i.e. the options were grayed out). So if you are playing DNF and get a message similar to this: You are not signed in. You must be signed in to access online content. then it is likely all you need to do is exit Steam and the re-signin to resolve the issue 🙂
