uTorrent stuck at 0.0% checking

If uTorrent gets stuck at 0.0% checking, I recommend making sure all magnet links have downloaded their appropriate metadata (filenames etc.) and then shutting down uTorrent. After shutting down uTorrent, start it back up and give it a moment. Your torrents will likely now go past the 0.0% checking stage 🙂 Here are some more links and tips if that does not work for you: uTorrent – Checked 0.0% (Page 1) / Troubleshooting https://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=111756I just updated uTorrent to uTorrent 3.1

Acer Aspire One AO756 memory upgrade and SSD swap

The Acer Aspire One AO756 is a nice little laptop that is available for a quite reasonable price (usually around $270 USD). As an added perk, with a few easy upgrades it can be even better! The AO756 allows for easy access to the RAM (memory) and unlike many of its brethren, it actually has two memory slots allowing for up to 16GB of memory to be installed! The hard drive is also easily accessible in case you want to

Milk jugs used for cheap 3D printing!

3D printing is a very cool topic and this news makes it even more intriguing: 🙂 With 3D printing, anyone with a 3D printer can make just about anything using a digital design and plastic filament. And while you can get simple open-source printers for surprisingly cheap (anywhere from $250-$500), one kilogram of the plastic filament can set you back between $30-$50. But there’s one solution that might be sitting in your refrigerator right now: milk jugs. via How milk jugs

ASUS Q200E hard drive upgrade instructions (replace w/SSD)

The Q200E is a great little laptop that is generally available for about $449 at Best Buy. The Q200e and the other similar models sold elsewhere (X202E, S200E) are definitely one of the best touchscreen Windows 8 laptop options out there! Unfortunately, they are all shipped with a relatively slow hard drive and the RAM is soldered in. The only other thing the Q200E is lacking is Bluetooth 🙁 EASY PERFORMANCE UPGRADES: You can now replace the slow hard drive

Open multiple PDFs in seperate Foxit Reader windows

When doing taxes or any other task requiring document comparison, it can be very handy to view PDFs side-by-side. Unfortunately, many PDF readers today (including Foxit Reader) default to opening PDFs in tabs and you cannot ‘pull’ a tab out to make a new window. However, there is a simple workaround: open multiple instances of Foxit Reader and then open (or drag/drop) your files to whichever Foxit window you want. 🙂 First though, you need to do is enable the ‘Allow

Tablet teardowns

Tablets are pretty awesome, but man can they be a pain to repair! Whereas a simple little notebook like the Acer AO722 requires removal of a SINGLE screw to access key components, something like the iPad mini is an exercise in frustration. 🙁 With that being said, here is a pretty comprehensive look at tablet repairability. Featuring the good (Dell XPS 10, Kindle Fire) the bad (Surface RT) and the ugly (iPad 4, Surface Pro) among others. Very cool stuff and definitely worth taking
