Best place to buy an iPad 3

My dad needed a new iPad and there was a question of the best place to buy it. For this post we’ll discuss the 64GB ‘new iPad’ with WiFi or just the iPad 3 as I like to call it. My recommendation for purchasing an iPad online is to purchase from Amazon and here is why: #1 no sales tax in many states, saves you money! Surface Pro 3 vs. iPad air (aspect ratio, screen size, PPI and more)

Microsoft introduced the Surface Pro 3 tablet today. Some of the biggest changes from the original surface tablets: new screen size and aspect ratio! The Surface Pro 3 gets a 3:2 aspect ratio which is quite similar to the iPad with its 4:3 ratio. See the table below from pixensity.com for more details: Manufacturer and model name Year introduced Screen size Screen area Resolution Ratio PPI  Microsoft Surface Pro 3 2014 12″ 66.46 square inches (10″x6.7″) 2160×1440 3:2 216.33 Apple

LG G Pad 8.3 GPE vs. iPad Mini Retina vs. Google Nexus 7 FHD

Santa Claus brought an LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition tablet early this years. To me the display is perhaps the most important aspect of a tablet, so here is a how it stacks up versus some competitors: Tablet Model Release Date Diagonal Screen Size Total Screen Area (Dimensions) Resolution Aspect Ratio Pixels Per Inch (PPI)  LG G Pad 8.3 2013 8.3″ 30.96 square inches (7″x4.4″) 1920×1200 16:10 (8:5) 272.79 Apple iPad Mini (2nd Generation) 2013 7.9″ 29.96 square inches

Nexus 7 FHD (2013) vs GPad 8.3 vs iPad Mini

LG is preparing to release their new G Pad 8.3 Android tablet with a nice 1920×1200 resolution, of course Google’s new 1920×1080 Nexus 7 has been out for a while now and Apple’s iPad Mini is looking absolutely outdated. Both resolutions on the Android tablets are are very nice, but how about screen area and actual PPI: Manufacturer and model name Year introduced Screen size Screen area Resolution Ratio PPI Google Nexus 7 (2013) 2013 7″ 20.94 square inches (6.1″x3.4″)

Best iPad for video meetings – ALL iPad camera specs LIST Video Conferencing & Photography

Last updated: April 28th, 2020 The iPad was first introduced in 2010 without a camera. Since then, the capabilities and models of the iPad family have steadily expanded. In this time of physical/social distancing and teleconferencing via a myriad of apps (Zoom, Skype, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Facetime, etc.), camera quality has become even more important. Unfortunately, it can be hard to keep track of the camera changes over the iPad line after so many years. Therefore, I compiled a handy

New Google Nexus 7 Hands On (2013 edition)

Yesterday while stopping into Best Buy I was surprised to see a new Nexus 7 in the tablet section. After playing with the device for a while I came away unimpressed. It is a solid device 🙂 but the screen was not as overwhelmingly good as I expected 🙁 Perhaps the biggest problem for me was that my Samsung Galaxy Note 2’s display actually seemed brighter and it was also not that much smaller than the Nexus7: Google Nexus 7 (2013) 2013

Disable RAW transfer to iPad when using Eye-Fi

The Eye-Fi is a great match when paired with an iPad. My wife uses her Olympus XZ-1 with an iPad 3 (or ‘New iPad’) and the combination is quite capable 🙂 However, by default if you shoot RAW+JPEG the Eye-Fi will transfer both to the iPad. This is a bit overkill for our purposes, since if we are going to edit RAW we are going to do it on a full blown laptop or desktop PC rather than an iPad. It
