NOTE: these screenshots show the settings pages for Android’s cool wifi hotspot feature. These screens should apply to any Android phone running Gingerbread with wifi hotspot functionality enabled.  These steps do NOT apply to the latest Virgin Mobile LG phones, which unfortunately have this feature disabled 🙁 The photos show a LG Optimus V that shipped with the wifi hostpot feature available (once enabled by the QuickSettings app [available in the Android Market]).

When the LG Optimus V was released by Virgin Mobile it was very easy to enable the wifi hotspot feature. My MBA keeps dropping wifi connections, especially when coming up from sleep… it is weird because it prompts me to reenter my WPA2 password every time it does this but even after entering the password it can’t connect! Windows 7 ethernet goes to sleep! [solved]

Question. Hello! I have a problem with my network connection in Windows 7. Everything works great until the computer has been at rest for a while, then my ethernet connection drops out! As soon as I move my mouse or keyboard the ethernet comes back on. My laptop is NOT in sleep/hibernate mode when all this occurs! Please help!? Answer. Great question :-).
