RIP btjunkie.org 2005 -> 2012 shuts down!

Wow, this comes as a shock 🙁 btjunkie 2005 -> 2012 Text from their goodbye.html page: This is the end of the line my friends. The decision does not come easy, but we’ve decided to voluntarily shut down. We’ve been fighting for years for your right to communicate, but it’s time to move on. It’s been an experience of a lifetime, we wish you all the best! Is it more megaupload aftermath, or did something else cause btjunkie to give up the

ViewSonic PJD6531w projector and 3D Vision

I saw my first (modern) 3D movie last night at the theater. The effect was enjoyable and so I decided to start researching 3D on my PJD6531w projector. There have apparently been some teething problems with this projector and 3D Vision, but the first two links below offer some helpful tips for getting NVIDIA 3D Vision working with the ViewSonic PJD6531w: ViewSonic PJD6531w 3D Projector Review – NVIDIA Forums – Page 3 1280×800 3D Vision ViewSonic PJD6531w – 3D Vision Blog 3D

Disable beep on Acer AO722 netbook [SOLVED two ways]

The Acer AO722 is a lovely little netbook. However, it does have a few annoyances. In Windows 7 go to: Control Panel > Sound > Playback Tab > Speakers > Properties >

Disc Golf notes before doubles tournament

Miscellaneous disc golf form and technique reminders. For me to keep in mind during the upcoming doubles tournament… Backhand (my normal drive) Tilt disk to the right on release (to even out the disk’s flight) Open palm after release (so fingers don’t impede/alter course) Hip rotation! Putting Fingers extended underneath the disk Gives stability (not gripping the edge) Palm OPEN after release Authoritative throw, really drive it into the basket Forehand (NOT my normal drive) Tilt disk to the left Red

But what if I exceed the download allowance?! After learning about the download zone, one of the next logical questions is: what if I get FAPed

Android WiFi Hotspot Configuration

NOTE: these screenshots show the settings pages for Android’s cool wifi hotspot feature. These screens should apply to any Android phone running Gingerbread with wifi hotspot functionality enabled.  These steps do NOT apply to the latest Virgin Mobile LG phones, which unfortunately have this feature disabled 🙁 The photos show a LG Optimus V that shipped with the wifi hostpot feature available (once enabled by the QuickSettings app [available in the Android Market]).
