Recently Amazon has started posting notices like this one on some of its product listing: External token bounce back credit offer What exactly is that?! Well clicking the linkĀ did not show me any special offers so I decided to try it in a different web browser. That did the trick, the offer was for: “Take $30 Off: Upon approval for the Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card, a $30 Amazon.com gift card will be loaded instantly into your Amazon account Learn More.”

Trying out Google’s PageSpeed service

I always enjoy a good experiment and if it involves a new web service the all the better. I am doing some research on a display dimming problem on my DellĀ LatitudeĀ E6430. Specifically, when using the laptop in a dim/darkĀ environment, the display brightness sometimes varies with a sort of brightness-fluctuation. It can be quite annoying as it is almost like flickering. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect is that it is hard to replicate so troubleshooting can be difficult!
