Nexus 7 FHD (2013) vs GPad 8.3 vs iPad Mini

LG is preparing to release their new G Pad 8.3 Android tablet with a nice 1920×1200 resolution, of course Google’s new 1920×1080 Nexus 7 has been out for a while now and Apple’s iPad Mini is looking absolutely outdated. Tablets are pretty awesome, but man can they be a pain to repair! Whereas a simple little notebook like the Acer AO722 requires removal of a SINGLE screw to access key components, something like the iPad mini is an exercise in frustration. 🙁 With that being said, here is a pretty comprehensive look at tablet repairability. Featuring the good (Dell XPS 10, Kindle Fire) the bad (Surface RT) and the ugly (iPad 4, Surface Pro) among others. Very cool stuff and definitely worth taking

How to delete Android apps from Google Play [can’t do it yet]

I recently contacted Google with the following question: Hello, Is there any way to hide apps so they don’t show up in the “My Android Apps” listing on the Google Play website? Tegra 3 Kal-El and buying a tablet (five cores!)

Recently I came this close to buying an ASUS Transformer Android tablet (and of course the requisite keyboard dock with extra battery power). Likewise, my buddy John refrained from buying a tablet until he got an awesome deal on a 32GB HP TouchPad for $149. My mom even has an iPad 2. Not to mention the folks that got 16GB TouchPads for $99! It must be tablet-fever time… so why did I refrain from buying a Transformer tablet? One word.
