After upgrading from a Samsung S6 to a Nexus 6P, one of the few changes needed was new USB-C cables! Thankfully, Amazon has a nice assortment. I especially like the white USB-C cables here: They are usually available for around $6.99 and they allow easy connection to USB-A (“regular” USB) devices like most existing PCs, Macs and laptops. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use my old USB flash drives with my new Galaxy Note 2. When connecting Nexus 7 to Lenovo X220* laptop via USB: I get about 3-4MBs when writing to the Nexus 7. The files being written were large video files, smaller file transfer (like music/mp3s files) copied at about 2-3MBs… I get closer to 7-8MBs when copying from the Nexus 7 to the laptop. NOTE: The X220 was running Windows 7 in these tests.
