What I looked for in a recliner (La-Z-Boy)
Recently I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner. Both my wife and I have really been enjoying it.
Before purchasing the Lazy Boy I came very close to getting one of these recliners available from Amazon:

I am still curious about the Acme recliner, but after trying out the Lazy Boy in the showroom I decided to go with La-Z-Boy instead of the Acme. These were some of the determining factors:
- comfortable feel
- ability to get choose different materials/covers
- you can get a swivel base installed (in not much more than one hour)
- the model I wanted was made in the USA (Missouri to be specific :-))
- the warranty
I was happy to buy the Lazy Boy. Since I plan on using it for many years to come, I did not mind paying a little more. 🙂
On the other hand, if I was looking for a recliner for a dorm room, shop or someplace else where low-cost is king and longevity might be sacrificed… then I would definitely try out the Acme recliner!
