Dell XPS 13 with Infinity Edge Review
The XPS 13 is a splendid laptop held back by software/firmware issues. Some of the out of the box problems are frankly inexcusable 🙁 Read below for more specifics and checkout the photos of this lovely machine!
Cons:
-Slow wifi speeds due to driver issues
–Extreme CPU throttling out of the box
-Generally poor Windows 8/8.1 software experience
Pros:
+Extremely nice form factor and build quality
+Easily upgradeable SSD (instructions here for 512GB upgrade)
+Compares nicely to Apple MacBook
+Reasonable price ($699-$1299 for most configurations)
+Matte or glossy display options
Summary: The XPS 13 would be exceptional if Dell had shipped it with perfectly performing software. As it stands, either Dell/Microsoft/Intel is at fault for issues that mar an otherwise exemplary laptop.
