ROMOSS fast charging USB car charger review

My latest USB car charger is a ROMOSS 36W QC 3.0 model. Over the years I have tried a variety of car chargers and so far this has been a good option.

Two ports of charging goodness

Pricing: As of today, $13.99 on Amazon

Specs:

  • (2) USB ports
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
  • 36W max rated output

Overall charging performance has been excellent. This has been over the course of a number of business trips and one family vacation. All of these trips involved significant driving with phone navigation, cellular usage and plenty of music and audio book playbook. Throughout it all I was able to keep 2-4 devices* quickly and fully charged with the ROMOSS.

*My favorite charge cables are 3-in-1 USB cables with a USB-C connector, Lightning connector, and MicroUSB connector. These cables can charge three devices from one USB port. Generally I keep one of these plugged into the ROMOSS and use the remaining port for any leftover devices.

These are some of the devices I tested with the ROMOSS:

  • iPad Pro 12.9″
  • Google Pixel XL
  • LG G6*
  • Essential PH-1
  • Lenovo tablets
  • iPhone SE
  • Samsung Note 8
  • amongst other random devices that friends/co-workers plugged in.

Every device charged properly and the devices with QC capability (namely the Note 8) charged particularly quickly.

*I need to re-test with the G6 because I was unable to get QC working on it…

Conclusion:

It is a reliable charger at a reasonable price. Overall it met my expectations and I highly recommend this charger.

Product packaging:

Shiny!
