Cancel FreedomPop recurring $8.47 services
Recently I noticed that my trusty Nexus 5 on FreedomPop had started being billed $8.49 a month for services 🙁 The particular services were: FreedomPop Usage Alerts, FreedomPop Wifi Hotspot, and Visual Voicemail.
Apparently my one year free trial had completed and those services started billing at that point. Normally that would be fine as I would just login and cancel them. However, in this instance the “deactivate” portion of the FreedomPop website would not function for those services. Eventually I submitted a support ticket and the issue was resolved.
Here is a copy of the support ticket request:
Hello,
I need to remove the following services from my Nexus 5 phone:
FreedomPop Usage Alerts ($1.99 a month)
FreedomPop Wifi Hotspot ($3.99 a month)
Visual Voicemail ($2.49 a month)
I attempted to remove the services via “My Account -> Service” tab, however, after “Viewing Details” there was no option to cancel the services.
***Please cancel these services ASAP as I do not remember ever signing up for them and I do not want them.***
Thank you kindly for your help and have a great day 🙂
Best regards,
…
If you are in a similar situation, I highly recommend logging into the Freedompop website and using the “Support” portion of their system to submit a service deactivation ticket! 🙂
