While I have kept most of my office systems on Windows 7, I do still have a few Windows 10 devices around. One of the most annoying things about Win10 (other than MS’s policies about user data collection etc.) is the number of apps that are pre-installed after a fresh install 🙁 Thankfully, there are ways to remove most Windows 10 built in apps: [Guide] How to Remove All Built-in Apps in Windows 10 – AskVGhttp://www.askvg.com/guide-how-to-remove-all-built-in-apps-in-windows-10/UPDATE: Tutorial updated to include instructions for

Exede real world download speeds

Real world Exede download speeds: Downloaded 8/20/2016 @ 10:58AM *Bandwidth speed conversion details here. We live off the grid (no power lines, no phone lines) and this download speed compares favorably with DSL in the nearest town (16 miles). Town DSL in the area is generally around 1.2 MB/s or 9.6 Mbps. However, please be aware there are significant drawbacks inherent to satellite internet (latency/lag, affected by weather, relatively high costs, limited monthly bandwidth).

Reviewer plugin: php version may not be greater than 10 character

While trying to activate the “Reviewer” plugin by evoG, I encountered the following error: Thankfully, after a little looking around I found where the PHP version is passed to the activation routine. By manually specifying a short PHP version (< 10 char) I was finally able to active the plugin 🙂 Here are the relevant sections to edit: /wp-content/plugins/reviewer/admin/includes/class-license-page.php NOTE: I recommend backing up your file before editing. Eero wishlist

Eero makes a rather splendid WiFi device, however, there is certainly room for improvement! As such, here is my wishlist for future Eero enhancements or revisions: Dual WAN failover option load balancing option PoE support Per device bandwidth usage statistics QR code or barcode scanning for setup (when bluetooth fails, manually entering a device ID is a pain) Despite the simplistic feature-set of the Eero, I do still like it. Here’s hoping they choose to enable some additional functionality for their faithful

Loudest Cell Phone 2016

I regularly use my phone while running with my buddies. Generally we just use the phone speakers so we don’t have to mess with headphones and we can all listen to music. My trusty Nexus 6P was recently destroyed, so while waiting for a replacement for my Nexus 6P (THANK YOU Nexus Protect!), I decided to check what phones are the LOUDEST. Here is my current research, from quite loud 78dB+ to rather quiet 70dB- [visualizer id=”9250″] So far, I
