How to find/follow twitter username via Hootsuite
Hootsuite is wonderful for keeping up with multiple twitter accounts and other social networks. However, if you are surfing the web and come across a twitter account that you want to follow, it can be a little intuitive to figure out how to follow someone. Therefore, here are the steps:
#1 Look for the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the Hootsuite
They call that feature ‘Quick Search’ and you can enter a twitter username in and press Enter to see the results:

#2 Once you find the username you are looking for, click on it and you can see their bio as well as a nice big Follow button!

After that a dialog (not pictured) will pop-up and you can choose which of your accounts you want to follow that user. Woot! 🙂

PS I rate the hootsuite feature 3/5 stars because it seems there should be a simpler way of doing it, like a direct follow dialog box (where you just enter the username). If anyone knows of such a feature in Hootsuite please let me know in the comments below!
