Question from Charley C.
Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7. I really like the laptop but I have the following annoying unknown device listed in device manager:
ACPI\ENE0100 *ENE0100 Can you help me find the right driver? Many thanks in advance.
Answer. The ACPI\ENE0100 is generally the “ENE CIR Receiver”, you can download the driver here:

Thanks a million! That driver worked and now I am all set. One question though… what the heck is a CIR Receiver? And rate 4.5 out of 5 very good rating
Follow-up Answer. Glad the driver worked and solver your problem! CIR stands for “consumer infrared receiver” and I believe ENE is the manufacturer of the chip used in the receiver. Thank you for your rating!
Driver should also work for HP Pavilion dv1030us and probably the dv61230us.Unknown Device "ACPI ENE0100" download Windows 7 driver (HP),
