Question. from Laptop Nut:
Hello, I have a red Toshiba T135 Satellite laptop and I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it. After running Windows update I still have ONE unknown device in device manager. It is called ACPI/TOS6205 and I don’t know what it is or how to get it working. Only other info I have is 2&daba3ff&0 listed.
PS I am running x64 Windows.
Answer. That is the bluetooth for your laptop. You can download the driver here:
(alternative dl links [to select your model]), (local mirror [in case the Toshiba site is down])
Since you’re running 64 bit Windows 7, you’ll want the driver version: 7.10.16 Windows XP x64 / Windows Vista x64 / Windows 7 x64 (or the latest equivelant). The filename for the local mirror will be BT-stack-64bit.zip
Hope this helps!
-JD
PS You have a cool laptop: nice battery life, decent performance and good looks!
NOTE: 32-bit version also available.
UPDATE from Laptop Nut:
thanks that worked perfect! I like the laptop too only wish it had a nicer screen… thank you thank you thank you 5 out of 5 stars!!! -Laptop Nut
Great… but i’m having problems with some HID devices not pairing ok with Toshiba BT Stack; i’ve been using it with other windows (XP Pro 32, w7 ultimate 32/64) on other laptops or PCs (Acer, Samsung, and Asus), all of them with std Bluetooth devices (both internal/USB connected), and everything works ok using MS Stack… any way to use ONLY Toshiba driver without using Toshiba stack?
Thanks

You are very welcome amr!
After searching 3 hours for a solution regarding this driver I’ve found this. GOD bless you dude.
5 minutes in google leads me straight here, you’re the man. Much more helpful than Toshiba’s documentation
Thank you for your nice comment Rico, I am very glad that this page was helpful to you!
Have a great week

Well, I spent a lot more than 5 minutes because I trusted Toshiba would have an obvious answer. NOT! I should have looked at Device Details and searched that out in Google instead. Your solution is very complete and got rid of the “Unknown device” icon. Thank-you very much. Have a Great Day!
Hi Fakhir,

Now a tip for you: If you want an incredible vacation in a really nice place for a decent price, good beaches, great food, go to Cartagena and stay in the Hotel Bantu. Make sure you get Room 107. Tell them the Canadian sent you. The price is for the room, the bed is king-size and so is the breakfast. You’re inside the fortified walls if you like walking around old cities, and a 5-minute taxi ride from the tourist sector and those beaches. Enjoy!
nicee when driver is free

Hi J.D. Hodges,
I bought Toshiba Satellite C660-A046 (PSC1SV) yesterday. I was having problem with one device (ACPI\TOS6205). I searched for driver on Toshiba website, but the search was unsuccessful.
By chance I came to know about your site and in 5-10 minutes i was having driver for this device.

Thanks very much, JD, saved me 20 minutes of faffing with a neighbour’s Toshiba Satellite Pro C855, so much for Windows and the wonderful “Unknown Device” they probably hold the biggest hardware database on the planet, nice to see they make good use of it.
